Hispanic Heritage month
Ivette’s art was included in ‘Celebrating Hispanic Heritage’ gallery (Sept 15- Oct 15, 2011) at Diageo’s Corporate headquarter in Norwalk, CT. Three paintings were exhibited: Memories overflowing of life and energy; canvases covered in vivid colors were prominent as Latin artists joined to celebrate their heritage. Surrounded by many talented artists this was a true inspiration!2011 MIT Art Fair
Ivette and I will again be participating in this annual holiday tradition – Friday, December 2, 2011. We’ll be exhibiting and selling Ivette’s inspiring paintings from 9am to 5pm. This year, similar to the past, we’ll be selling beautiful, large and small wall hangings as well as eye-catching scarves. This year, we’ll also be selling pillows adorned with Ivette’s creative designs!Please join us to view her work and take home these inspiring creations.

About
Art by Ivette, LLC is a collaborative effort between two friends – a thought provoking Artist (Ivette) and an enthusiastic Finance & Marketing guy (Steve) – with a desire to both share the art with others who are inspired / learn from it and commercialize the Artist’s talent.
Our mission is two-fold:
o to create an online gallery in which this art can be thoughtfully displayed and sold to long-time fans as well as new friends – each customer adopting it into their own reality.
o to use this online gallery to create a forum in which customers, fans and the artist share thoughts / inspirations from the art.
The Artist: Ivette has been passionate about Batik since her exposure to this technique in school – the art traces back to use in Africa, the Middle East and Asia centuries ago. The artist was born and raised in Bolivia, went to university in the US – experiences which led to an eclectic mix of influences. Using water based paint on silk allows her to share her life experiences through vivid colors and designs – for her audience to interpret freely. She seeks to inspire others, trigger reflection and introduce new ideas and emotions by sharing her art; creating a compassionate bond with her audience.
